Mattress

All of our Mattresses are made to Canadian standards, manufactured in the Greater Toronto Area. Some foreign made mattresses are compressed for shipping and are not subject to the same standards when produced. The products we stock use 12.5 Gauge steel (The lower the Gauge, the thicker the steel) and high density foams to ensure the products will not sag or dip.

Smooth top

An Affordable option, Smooth tops are a firm traditional coil spring mattress - Great solution for children or students.

Orthopedic

A traditional Coil Spring mattress firm but more comfortable than the smooth top.

Cushion Top

Like the orthopedic but not necessarily as firm, this mattress uses more cushion and is customizable to any level of firmness.

Pillow Top

A traditional mattress with a separate pillow section attached above the traditional coil spring section stitched so that it is tapered inward between the two sections.

Euro Top

Walk into a high end department store or sleep country and you will see plenty of these. The best Contour to your body and support Eurotops feature a pillow that is stitched flush to the traditional coil spring section, giving a flush side profile making it somewhat less obvious that there are two sections. The Top section is comprised of several layers of foams, cushions and fabrics totaling anywhere from 3 to 7 inches in thickness. The bottom section (pocket or continuous coil springs) is usually best when restricted at 8 inches, as this keeps the coil springs sturdy and less likely to sag. The springs can be of any gauge usually ranging between 12.5 and 18 (the lower the gauge the stronger and thicker the steel. This means that when comparing a mattress of equal coil count 12.5 gauge will not sag, while the mattress with an 18 gauge coil will likely sag with normal use over time. High density foams are also less likely to sag over time. Ask Andy what kind of mattress is right for you.
